5 readiness steps before using the official portal

Step 1
Review Aadhaar requirements

Prepare Aadhaar details only for use on the official Udyam portal. Do not share OTPs or copies through public pages or third parties.

Step 2
Review PAN and GSTIN

PAN is mandatory. GSTIN is required only if the enterprise is required to register under GST law.

Step 3
Business details

NIC code (activity), address, plant locations, bank account, employees, investment in plant & machinery and turnover.

Step 4
Use official verification only

Complete OTP and self-declaration steps only on the official Udyam portal. Do not share OTPs with public pages or third parties.

Step 5
Use the official portal

The official portal generates the URN and e-certificate after successful verification. Verify final steps on udyamregistration.gov.in.
